Wow! Giant octopus - extreme animals - BBC wildlife

Biologists who study the habits of veined octopus in the waters of Indonesia noted that the mammal has a hobby most unusual: the collection of coconut waste and use for shelter.

Beyond the occurrence that is hilarious to watch octopuses crawl on the seafloor slide shells coconut halves and assembling even two of them to represent a cache of creation (see the video integrated above), it could also be the first evidence of tool use in an invertebrate zoology.

Keeping octopus is an error ... been there, done that! Not only they are much too intelligent and need constant enrichment, environmental enormous, they are also escape artists. Pussies want to tear their food and they are very messy. They also need new toys to play with endlessly! Octopuses generally require very high water concentration of oxygen is very expensive. This is part of the reason most private octopuses have a short life as they require cold, clean and high concentration of oxygen in the water.In addition, I do not know if you know about saltwater aquariums at all, but some animals are more difficult to maintain in salt water and thats saying something.

WARNING: Some stores may order O blue ring octopuses, but they are incredibly dangerous and toxic that you do NOT want one of these Crawling around your house, they produce a neurotoxin that can be absorbed through skin contact and n ' there is no cure, you're dead or paralyzed. (I worked in one of these stores ...error)

Even non-lethal octopuses generally require clear water, are not very friendly community, I am crazy for owning pets cool, but the requirements are octopus out of the league almost everyone.
