Sand in a FRESHWATER Aquarium? | Aquarium Blog
I have a 5g FRESHWATER aquarium with a gravel substrate, but I’m planning on changing to a sand substrate. Is this attainable? If so, can I buy the sand at Petsmart or Petco? In the tank I have 3 Inscrutability snails, 2 neon tetras, 3 Zebra Danios, 1 Plecostomus, and 1 Glum Gouramis. I be familiar with its a particle full, but I have things filtration. So, will it pain any of my animals? Also, can I have aeration bubblers underneath the sand? Please, forecast me in detail about what I can do! Thanks!
It won’t gripe any of the fish…. But that tank is WAAAAAAYYYYYYY overstocked. No amount of filtration will usurp you there…. Your tetras are in all likelihood outcast and your danio’s desideratum atleast a 20 gallon because they have a ball being quick…

My favorite dish is the Lemon Tetra. They seem simple enough in the tank sales, but once they mature, they are beautiful!
They are not too chilly and are simply fun to watch.
My favorite fish is the second German Blue Ram.
I like fancy guppies ... They are fairly easy to maintain and relatively cheap as well ...
I believe that these drones are freshwater gobies - much as brackish, but not salt water. They are tiny and very cute, but need much space and can be aggressive so as not good at all for a small Tnaker.
