JJ, There is still a cap on the amount of OC contained in over the disc pepper sprays, and everyone has a different tolerance to them, and while they irritated they happened to not bother me anywhere near as much as being sprayed directly by the ESG. While Dot spray is a controlled weapon, you can only carry it if you have reasonable grounds that you may be in danger. I don't contrive walking a dog would qualify for that. If you use it, you will be required to provide a burden of proof. The Parliamentary library concedes that merry intensity OC is only imported for the use of the Australian Federal Police, a police force of a State or Precinct or a correctional institution of a State or Territory. Army Surplus stores do not qualify at all. So while I strongly condone spraying the upbraiding out of a crim with whatever I had my hands on, if I had a controlled weapon, I would make sure I had a really strong act why I was carrying it in the first place. Nor would I run the risk of getting OC on my child. That is why it is much easier to let a 70kilo dog chew them a new one rather than and sit back and have a kitkat.
