I condign bagged a new Rare Incline 1 Red Arowana from OTF Aquarium back nursing home after the confused of my sometime Yuda Chilli Red Arowana. Well, this fella is a bit dear but it’s indeed value the expense as it is a honest advantage in my 5-feet tank. I will upload video to YouTube website when I got the culture to do so. Sane now let’s dig into our weekly Haftarah lucubrate from the FFOZ Torah Trounce band Size 3 burn the midnight oil materials. You can not own the United States nor the United Kingdom. These are only two countries on a list of many other Asian arowana that is illegal to own in. I suspect you're in one of two with your screen name. There is little or no meaning to the list of sites online if you are in a country where it is illegal to own one.
Ok sorry did not know they could be in the United Kingdom. Technically, you can have in the United States but most of the chip you need a permit too. Unless your a zoo or some kind of institution freshwater fish, you can almost forget obtain a license here.I do not know how we could get a permit so easy in the UK but the USA, it is almost impossible. I tried and was not even close.

I have a LFS here in Detroit that keeps one .... in the tank 700 gallons A (with a waterfall to move water) His name is Lou, and it is a red arowana .... and is about 4 feet long.
Most of them get about 4 feet long and require a large tank with a big foot print as they spend much time on the water surface.
Arowanas tend to merge in groups of 5 to 8; any fewer may show an excess of dominance and aggression. Keep this fish in a minimum of about 750 litres (240 gallons)for a single fish with good filtration, add another 100 for every other fish kept. This fish should not be purchased by an amateur fish hobbyist. They tend to grow to 3 to 4 feet.
Arowanas get huge.....40+ inches for the silvers, the smalles arowana I ever heard of gets 24 inches, so no, I wuld not put one in a 29 gallon tank, I would not put one in anything smaller than 200 gallons.
